We welcome you to Calvary Christian Reformed Church of Orange City, Iowa! Whether you're just visiting, looking for a 'church home', exploring the Christian faith or worshipping as a part of this local body of believers - we're glad you are here! Our goal is to affirm the supreme "worth-ship" of God, who knows us thoroughly, and loves us dearly.
We are here to praise God, to confess our wrongs, to seek God's pardon, to receive instruction from God's written Word, to meet with the living Word, our Lord Jesus Christ, & to enjoy each other's presence
Calvary strives to be a loving family, in which members experience intimacy with God and growth in Christian living
Our Mission is to Glorify God, to Equip Believers, and to Lead Seekers.
The Christian Reformed Church (CRC) includes just over one thousand congregations across the United States and Canada. About 75 percent of the churches are in the United States; 25 percent are in Canada. We’re one of only a few binational denominations: rather than split into different churches at the 49th parallel, we’re united.
As people called by God,
We gather to praise God, listen to him, and respond.
We nurture each other in faith and obedience to Christ.
We love and care for one another as God's people.
We commit ourselves to serve and to tell others about Jesus.
We pursue God's justice and peace in every area of life.
The Christian Reformed Church is a diverse family of healthy congregations, assemblies, and ministries expressing the good news of God’s kingdom that transforms lives and communities worldwide.

Dear members and friends of Calvary,
The Executive Committee would like to thank the congregation for their support and prayers during these past 3 months as we worked our way thru the COVID 19 challenges. Below you see our thoughts for this coming Sunday, which has only small changes to last week’s announcement. Please note that we will not write weekly updates again until we have a significant update. So you can consider this our short term “normal” until further notice.
This Sunday, June 28, we would like to invite all Care Groups again to both the AM and PM worship services at Calvary, only asking those who are in a high risk category and those who may not be feeling well to worship from home on livestream. If you are in good health and are willing to worship together with the knowledge that coming to any worship service means you have the potential risk of exposure to the coronavirus, you are welcome to join worship in the sanctuary.
We will continue to use every other row in the sanctuary. The narthex will serve as an overflow area should the sanctuary become full (just grab a chair from the west or north walls and place where you want them). IF you wish to be even more distanced, there is a live feed set up in the basement fellowship area and we have a live feed set up in the Fireside Room for those with small children.
We ask the congregation to move outside after the worship time. Coffee and juice will not be served, and nursery continues to be closed. We do plan to use ushers this week so we can utilizes space. We ask that you accommodate the ushers as they find seating for you.
In His service,
Pastor John, Wayne, Loren, Darin, Bret
